VP ®

Vibration Source Control Program

This program was created to control the equipment of the GDS-II® device. The program performs the functions of setting up and tracking the process of managing and monitoring the vibrating complex. Its main functions consist of the task of Decoder operating parameters installed in the vibrators, receiving reports of the vibrators after each activation Post Sweep Service (PSS), and navigation of source groups.

Every vibrator sends information about the quality of the PSS work to the seismic station each time it is shot. This information includes both graphical and tabular data. Vibrator performance quality can be checked on the radio channel. Phase deviation, magnitude of the effort, and the strain generated are checked. Below are the interface options for the VP® program. The number, position, and content of program windows can be flexibly configured according to user requirements.

Navigation. Satellite navigation systems are used to improve seismic survey productivity and control the position of the vibrators within the area. coordinates of the epicenter in the work area and control it. To perform the navigation work of the vibrator, a tablet computer with the control program installed and the coordinates of the excitation point entered is connected to the decoder. Circles indicate the parameters of the power supply, and crosses indicate the center position of the vibrator group. White indicates a parameter within the warning error, yellow indicates that at least one parameter is greater than this error and less than the tolerance, and red indicates that at least one parameter is greater than the tolerance.

Selecting the signal type. The VP® program allows you to select the type of signal to be emitted. Here you can also select BroadSweep®The figure below shows an example of VP®'s built-in vibration control for very low frequency signals (Low-Dwell).
